Weekly Report of Sengkuang Plant's Progress: Week 3
Date of the 3rd week: 9 May 2017

Each of the pot of the Sengkuang'plants are watered 500 ml of water each day and all the plants are kept in the same atmosphere condition.

3. The measurement of plant length and weight.

Only the plant from FSSA, Tepi Tasik 2 and PPIB were dug out and measured because in Mengkabung's pot have zero germination rate and Tepi Tasik FSSA 's pot has the lowest germination rate and average height making them hard to be measured. (Notes: 2 sprout plants are dug out from each pot to be measured and weighed)

4. Macronutrient Analysis
A macronutrient analysis is conducted to analyse the content of nitrate, phosphate and sulphate in each soil sample.

From the table, the soil sample from Tepi Tasik FSSA has the highest water holding capacity and soil sample Tepi Tasik 2 has the lowest water holding capacity. Soil sample from Mengkabung has the second highest water holding capacity while the third highest is soil sample from FSSA and PPIB Parking Area which have almost similar water holding capacity.

  1. Thank you.
I am happy to see how the data is very well organised.
For an outsider observer they can easily make their own data interpretation easily.
A tremendous improvement compare to previous reports.

If I look at your first table, I can make an assumption that the germination of seed success might be influence by the soil pH as it also seems affected the initial growth of the seedlings.
For example your pot A & D have the same soil texture but different soil pH might be cause why germination success of seeds also differ.
I hope this group can make a good summary later taking every data observation in account.
As a scientist you cannot only see in one parameter only but link everything together for a conclusive summary.
Because for plant like human being there are many environmental factors influence how we grow and have impact on the health.

Don't forget to confirm your soil texture with jar test (textural triangulation) with the sieve analysis test whether the result correspond to each other.

For the water holding capacity, I have some doubt with the calculation for 'Tepi Tasik FSSA', please double check the others too.
